Natural Gas

Water and Power Law Group represents counties and other local governments, along with landowners, in proceedings to site and regulate natural gas pipelines.  We appear before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and federal and state agencies with concurrent permitting jurisdiction.  We seek to assure that any new development is compatible with existing uses of lands, including farming, homes, cultural resources, and ecosystem protection.  We use innovative strategies to address cumulative impacts and assure that agencies coordinate proactively in the regulation of these energy facilities.
